Oxford Agropro Ltd. is a full-service agricultural crop input supplier located in Hickson, Ontario. Our business specializes in guiding local farmers with their agricultural input needs. We assist our customers with seed, fertilizer, crop protection and application.
We’re looking for a candidate that is hard working and will be a positive member of our team. This person needs to have some experience in operating agriculture equipment and feel comfortable taking our sprayers or airflows into our customer fields. It is preferred that the applicate has some mechanical experience as they’re responsible for making sure their equipment continues to stay in good working conditions.
Responsibilities of the job:
Operate application equipment and apply crop protection products and or fertilizer to customers fields.
Be able to maintain and repair basic services on your piece of equipment or others in the yard.
Present yourself in a professional manner towards both the customers and the fields.
Willing to help with odd jobs around the facility.
All necessary training will be provided.
Skills Required:
Valid driver’s licence (AZ or DZ preferred but not required)
Minimum of 2 years experience operating agriculture equipment.
Valid Ontario Pesticide Exterminator License or willing to obtain.
Mechanical skills
Dependable to work long hours during busy season (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Basic understanding of crop protection and fertilizer.
Excellent self motivator and a strong work ethic.
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.
